Supports the Oregon House
“Bring Them Home Act of 2007”

Clackamas, OR – Because the U.S. occupation in Iraq was unbiblical and unconstitutional, BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR urges the Oregon legislature to pass the House Joint Memorial 9, which calls for the complete removal of all American military personnel from Iraq by August 1, 2007.  While the withdrawal of our troops could be completed long before that date, B.A.W. considers that date certainly better than the open-ended commitment that is being promoted by the Bush administration.

This resolution would send the clear message:

Oregonians have had enough of the death and destruction that has been caused by our illegal and immoral occupation of Iraq; and It is time to bring our troops home!

David Brownlow, Director of BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR, said, “Without provocation, we invaded a country that had never done anything to harm us.  Hundreds of thousands of people are now dead as a direct result of this act of raw aggression.  It is time for us to leave and seek ways to make ammends for the carnage we have inflicted on the people of Iraq.”

BELIEVERS AGAINST THE WAR encourages all Christian believers to examine the U.S. occupation of Iraq, or in any other country, in the light of the Bible and the Constitution - both of which prohibit unprovoked aggression.
